Ordinance 09-24 approved for the Issuance of $500,000 in Bonds for Equipment Purchases
Equipment purchases through a bond issue were approved for communication, signal systems, technology, building improvements, and a new automobile and related equipment in the total amount of $500,000 in an ordinance to be voted on at next month’s meeting.
- Acquisition of new police SUV: $60,000 bonds and notes
- Installation of security cameras and access control systems at the USRPD: $132,380 bonds and notes
- Renovation of a cell block at police headquarters: $32,000 bonds and notes
- Acquisition of machinery and equipment including skid decks for trucks at DPW: $10,475 bonds and notes
- Various improvements at Borough Hall: $19,040 bonds and notes
- New IT and computer equipment for USRFD: $3,645 bonds and notes
- Undertaking of an engineering study of the restoration of the riparian zona and wetlands of the west branch of the Saddle River due to Tropical Storm Ida: $113,330 bonds and notes.
Ordinance 10.24 was approved to amend “An ordinance relating to the compensation of certain officers and employees of the Borough of Upper Saddle River, County of Bergen, State of New Jersey. Ordinance 11-24 was approved to accept improvements to Block 40, Preserve at Upper Saddle River, as dedicated on filed map 9662.
Ordinance 12-24 was introduced to establish a stormwater control and management ordinance for major developments creating penalties for violations of said proposed ordinance.
Ordinance 13-24 was introduced to amend Chapter 3 of the borough code entitled “Administration of Government” concerning setting standards for police promotions processes.
The 2024 Best Practice inventory was approved.
The 2024 Diwali Celebration was approved.
The raffle license for the USR Education Foundation was approved.
