2024 Borough Budget Authorized
The 2024 Upper Saddle River Borough Budget was introduced within the consent agenda by title only with no presentation made for the benefit of the citizen taxpayers present both in person and online. The borough budget was published in The Record on July 18, 2024 and will be voted on at the mayor and council meeting of August 8, 2024 at 8:00pm.
Bills Paid
Bills in the amount of $4,190,000 were approved to be paid with 83% belonging to the schools.
Borough Property Conveyed for Development
Borough property located at 160-168 Crescent Avenue, which has been designated and approved for 25 housing units under the Housing Element and Fair Share Housing Plan for regional low and moderate income housing, was approved to be transferred for development. The property will be transferred for a nominal amount to the Bergen County United Way Madeleine Housing Partners LLC, a non-profit housing corporation, which will develop the property.
Public Comments Change
It was announced at the meeting that public comments will only be permitted by those borough residents attending the borough council meetings in person.
