Executive Meeting
The USR Mayor and Council Executive Meeting, which was scheduled to start online on Zoom at 6:30PM, was never opened to the citizenry waiting online for the entire duration of the meeting. No explanation was given to the citizenry waiting online prior to or during this meeting.
Regular Meeting
The regular meeting opened at 8:02PM and ended at 8:13PM.
In accordance with the NJ Open Public Meetings Act, an agenda must be posted 48 hours prior to this meeting. No agenda was posted online prior to this meeting.
Attendance was taken and bills were approved for payment in the amount of $8,590,010.47. Reports were accepted from the police department, fire department, DPW and construction code official, and the consent agenda was approved for USR Police Department membership, and raffle license for Diabetes Foundation (no copies of consent agenda available to citizens online).
Police officers Timothy Erstling, Michael Reidel, and Sergeant William Lynch were recognized for giving CPR and saving the life of a teenage resident, who was in cardiac arrest.
It must be noted that no mention was made of the tax referendum which is being placed on our November ballots, and no mention of the pending tax reassessment was mentioned.
