2021 Municipal Budget to be Introduced at May 6 Mayor & Council Meeting

$5.5 Million Bond Issue for Athletic Field
The second reading and approval of a bond ordinance in the amount of $5.5 million to fund the athletic fields to be constructed at One Lake Street was approved. The One Lake Street Athletic Complex Project will include a multipurpose synthetic turf field, a basketball court, a walking path surrounding the field, parking areas, site improvements, field fixtures, etc.
Arbor Day Proclaimed
Arbor Day was proclaimed by the mayor to be celebrated in the borough on April 30, 2021.
Electrical Charging Stations
A resolution was introduced permitting vehicle electrical charging stations in the borough as a permitted accessory use and permitted accessory structure in all zoning districts. (Res. #04-21)
Cannabis Businesses
A resolution was introduced prohibiting any kind of cannabis business in the borough. (Res. #05-21)
Bills Paid
The payment of bills in the amount of $3,524,416.49. Councilman DiMartino stated that more than 87% of that amount went to the school districts.
