New Storage Unit Facility Is Approved with Zoning Variance for Route 17N

PSI Atlantic USR NJ LLC (Premier Self Storage) received a zoning variance and approval to construct a 3-story self-storage facility on 1.994 acres of vacant land located at 100 Route 17 North – Block 1304 – Lot 7.01.

This property is situated north of the Extended Stay America Hotel and just south of Sheds for Sale and the Swingset and Toy Warehouse. The property is located partially within the H-1R Highway Retail and Commercial District and the rear portion is located within the R-1 Residential Zone District. This site has recently been designated as an overlay zone in the borough’s settlement agreement with Fair Share Housing, which does not prohibit applications for other types of development.

This self-storage facility will consist of a 3 story, 35,160 square foot climate controlled building which will contain self storage units, sales and office space.  Exterior parking spaces, fencing, landscaping and variances for residential zone, building height, and lighting were also approved.
